- Bind the Two-step verification for your email
In order to improve the security of your account, Btron strongly recommends that you follow the requirements of this article to set password and security binding.
Step 1. Set strong and different passwords
Most users often set the same account and password for different network services for convenience. This can easily lead to a leak of the password somewhere and someone else being able to use the account and easily log in other network services that the user has registered. Therefore, the most basic security barrier is to establish the correct password security awareness. Password should be complex and unique, at least 8 bits, password should contain uppercase and lowercase letters, Numbers, or special symbols, and no obvious regularity, it is better not include your name, email, your birthday, mobile phones are easy to obtain by other information, such as: hanmeimei, 12345678, qwertyasd, btron12345, abc12345 that are not recommended, for example: W@ng32#4ef or iehie8#We12 or Uith!3l4.oa, etc, are the password format recommended for use, and you can also enhance the security of your account by periodically changing your password (every three months), and it is recommended that you use 1password or LastPass to record and manage passwords.
In addition, never reveal your password to others, and Btron employees will never ask for your password.
Step 2. Bind a E-mail
If you signed up with phone, it is recommended that you bind a common email in "account" - "security Settings" interface. Because when you perform operations involved in safety, we will verify the email.
Step 3. Bind two-step verification
After you bind the two-step verification, When you log in Btron, in addition to the account and password, you also need to enter the six-digit dynamic password of the two-step verification to complete the login. Thus, even if someone else steals your account and password, without the six-digit dynamic password generated by the two-step validator, the other person cannot log in.
When you want to withdraw digital assets from your account to other trading platforms and wallets, you need to enter the six-digit dynamic password generated by the two-step verifier to initiate the withdrawal application. Thus, even if someone else has already visited the personal account page displayed on your computer (For example, you have loged in btron and temporarily leave the computer), without the 6-digit dynamic password generated by the two-step verifier, the other party cannot initiate the withdrawal request.
Step 4: Set up two-step verification for your email
In addition to the account's two-step verification, your email is also an important guarantee of the account security. Reset password, confirm withdrawal and other important operations are all required to click the confirmation link in the bound email for confirmation before the next operation. The mainstream email services in the market all provide two-step authentication. If you set two-step authentication for your own email, even if others know your email password and do not have two-step authentication information for your email, the others cannot log in.
In addition, if you use the mail client on your computer or mobile phone to receive messages from Btron, be sure to set an access password on the mail client, otherwise others can access the mail directly through your mail client without two-step verification.
